My mom will have liver resection on 1th november, after 2 RF and 1 chemoembolozation.I would like to know what we should expect after surgery and how many days takes to recover and back to normal life?
Her doctor says 7 days in hospital and 2 weeks for recovery.after one and a half month she could come back to the normal life.
we live in Iran and we will go to Italy for her resection.

all the posts here makes me stonger and more hopeful

    Salam!
    Hi Melody

Welcome to our community. We do not get many members from Iran.

I had a liver resection in 2004. 2/3 of my liver was removed. I was 5 days in the hospital. No complications. I was back to normal and ready to start Chemo in about 4-6 weeks.

Liver resection is a life-saver when it comes to liver mets and colon cancer. I am glad your mother is able to have the procedure. You should be hopeful.
