I spoke too soon
How weird...I wrote my comment about hair loss...and started running my fingers through my hair..and WOW...I had a lot coming out in my hand....very strange. I guess it will be soon. I hope it's over before the weekend is out so I don't have a bunch of trauma on Monday when I have to go to work.

Guess you answered your own question! I am on the same meds. For some reason my Onc. decided not to give me the Herceptin yet though. I was thinking that you should of started losing your hair by now. I have only done one treatment so far & it has been 10 days so I am waiting for it myself. Of all things I have already started losing my nose hair! I think the eyelashes are next. They have been itchy. From what I've read of others here it is usually 10-14 days so you have held on pretty well so far! I wouldn't wait for it to all fall out in clumps though. If you can muster up the courage, go ahead & shave it. Take control!

but my scalp hair was the first to fall out .. 12 to 16 days after first treatment. I agree with Cathy .. started with a few extra strands here and there, within 2 additonal days .. clumps .. next day - like a sheep dog shedding leaving trails of hair in the bathroom, kitchen and stairway. Did I mention, that I cut my hair about 2 inches from my scalp in preparation of my hair loss .. Shorty do shed as quickly as med to long hair.
Good Luck with the shave - please use electric razor if you are going to shave yourself.

I took a shower and washed my hair when it was clumping and I ended up with MATTED hair. Had to call salon and have them shave it then. Could not get the mat out no matter how much conditioner I used. This is one thing we can control. How we lose our hair. I chose to control it and planned to shave. I just waited too long and then it was dramatic for me and everyone at the salon. So just don't shampoo it! You will not like the result.
Good Luck.
