Excellent Book for both Caregivers and Patients

I just wrote a bit about this in straberriesandcreams thread, but thought it was worth starting a new thread over.
The other night I finished reading The Power of Two: Surviving Serious Illness with an Attitude and an Advocate by Gerri and Brian Monaghan. They tell their story together and it's an amazing story of tenacity and resourcefulness. In short, he found out all at once that he had metastatic melanoma with 2 brain tumors and lymph involvement. The prognosis was a few months to live. Together they came up with a plan, each of them with their own "job." 10 years later, they sat down to write the book together. Parts of it are funny, other parts are things we can all relate to as caregivers and patients, and it also has glosses throughout with tips for caregivers (or advocates as they say in the book). The list of tips is included in abbreviated form at the back of the book along with lots of other useful information. Such as ways to get free flights to treatments in other cities etc etc.
It's on Amazon for about $15. I thought it was great and it's made a difference in the way I'm handling my role as caregiver.
Hope this is useful,
Adrian
