The beach!

Hey, Gang.

Later today my husband and I are taking our older grandson to Myrtle Beach for the weekend. He just turned 7, and this is our birthday present to him.

So, my usual request when I'm going to be gone-nobody do anything drastic!

    Our favorite place....
    Ah, lucky you! We have spent the last 5 summer vacations in MB. We started when our son was almost 2 and have gone every year since. We stay at the Kingston Plantation and love it there. I am guessing you have been to MB before but if not, I think your 7 YO grandson would enjoy Alligator Adventure. Our kids love it.

    I LOVE Myrtle Beach, my kids have unfortunately never seen a beach, we never have the money to go anywhere, but sooo glad you're getting away! Hope you have a blast! We'll miss you here! this is Homecoming weekend for us, so have to go to the game, since my freshman daughter is in band, and then the dance tomorrow, I'm going to take her out to dinner! Talk to you soon!

    Sheri, go somewhere nice and warm, the snow is going to come to us soon!

    I have to go to a Homecoming Game to see my daughter play at half-time (Because I have been in and out of the hospital, it just so happens I've missed ALL their games and competition because I was sick, so I finally get to go tonight!) and it's pouring out there! They never cancel the games, they may delay it, but the weather sucks!! I am rethinking going, because I don't want to get sick in the downpour! We have tornado warnings and everything going on around here this weekend...blah!!

    You have a good time at the beach,we went to myrtle beach this summer and had a lot of fun.You guys have a good time and relax.

    i would
    take the chance, dress warm, and have fun. listen, I was/am not as advanced as you (and many others) are, but i think many of the feelings are the same. I have learned that I may have done this to myself with the way I was/am, but many are out there who ate right, never smoked or drank, and still got it. I figure it this way - I intend to have a good time and enjoy life as much as I can, while I can. I may be here til I am 100 haunting everyone, or I may go next week, but enjoy it. go see the kid!

    p.s. I still hate cold and snow. unfortunately, home is where the heart is, my heart is with Nick, and he lives in MINNESOTA....

    I continually ask myself WHY I gave up Florida and the beach.....(nick...)
