Hi Stevie, I too have IBC.
Hi Stevie, I too have IBC. DO not accept that it is not bc. It is as said very invasive aggressive, and much of the treatments are the same.
You are so supportive and that is so important.
I have had 3 chemos, and now it must stop midway as I am allergic to the taxotere. At least it has shrunk the breast to a point where the suregery must be moved sooner.
I am having heart ventricle issues whihc must be corrected before the mastectomy, so working on that has become the priority for a few weeks.
Postive vibes and prayers to you and your wife. You will get thru this together.0 -

Just wanted to welcome you and your wife. You're in good company here. Looks like so many others have given you good advice and I don't have much to add. I'm fairly new dxed and waiting for tumors to shrink so I can have surgery. Glad you're there for your wife, it means so much. Don't know if Stevie is your real name but I have a son named Steven about your age (around 44); and a grandson named Stephen. One is called Steve and the younger one Stevie, to keep them straight. My husband is great, but we both got the wind knocked out of us at first. He goes to every appt., test, whatever with me. We're both holding onto this roller coaster of a ride. And you both will too. Keep us posted. We're here for both of you.0
