MY FATHER IN-LAW WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MERKEL CELL CARCINOMA. THE BIOPSY WAS TAKEN FROM A BUMP ON HIS FOREHEAD. I BELIEVE THE NEXT STEP OF DIAGNOSIS IS THE LYMPH BIOPSY. OF COURSE, WE WANT ANSWERS NOW! SURVIVAL RATE, THERAPY, ETC. HE IS 65 YEARS OLD AND HAS BEEN IN EXCEPTIONAL HEALTH. I AM TRYING TO CONNECT WITH OTHER INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME DIAGNOSIS. THANK YOU.

merkel cell
My mother has just been told that she has merkel cell. She is 74 and is going to start chemo next week. It is in her throat and lymph nodes. The doctor told her she can do nothing and probably die in a year or do chemo and there is an 85% chance that it will kill those cells.....Just looking for any more info on this...Sincerley
