Hello everyone! I haven't been posting these last couple of days because i got a terrible flu i believe was that bad swiney flu everyone's talking about. It was probably the nastiest bug i've ever had, and one of the fastest moving ones i've ever seen.

I got it Thursday night, one day after i ended my fast, so i know my immune system was probably compromised. It started in my throat and nose with terrible (and plentiful) watery snot, and my temp rose to 99.3 degrees, and continued to climb slowly but continuously. By the next day the bug had well lodged itself into my lungs where it caused bad pain every time i coughed. By last night, my temperature hit 101.4, and my snot and lung phlem was a beautiful sea green color. By this morning, the fever broke completely, and other than feeling exhausted and still suffering from a lingering cough, the pain in my chest is gone, and the mucous is now clear.

I thought i was having a major detox moment until it went into my lungs. Then i thought it was pneumonia. Now i think it was the swine flu. I've heard it works very quickly, and this certainly did. About 48 hours from start to finish. It didn't effect my GI tract at all.

I guess i'll know for sure if anyone else i've been around gets it, too.

I've been wondering if i should report this to the CDC, but even if it was the swine flu, i wasn't really around anyone but my family. Is it possible that they could be carrying it and exposing others? I would hate it if anyone else got this because of me. We've had two more fatalities of this flu in this area that i'm aware of recently.

Hope everyone is staying well!

Hugs,
Krista

    HI Krista!
You crack me up! I love the way you write! I'm glad you're feeling better! Sounds like it did come and go very quickly. Thank goodness it didn't go in your GI. I hate getting sick to my stomache! I would let your dr. know. Glad your feeling better, and your snot is clear! :0)

    I would....
...be seeing a doctor about this, I know once I have a temp of 100.3 my doctor told me to go to the ER, it could be a sign of infection, I have had the infections before without the cold and phlegm, please go see a dr Krista!

    Healing Crisis
    Hi Krista!

Glad you're feeling better now. Sounded icky!

When I was detoxing I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia and attributed it to a healing crisis. It was as if my body had to release a whole boatload of mucus through my lungs. In Chinese Medicine the lungs are connected to the colon (not literally obviously but system wise).

What are the swine flu's symptoms? but if that's it I sure hope I don't get it. ugh!

Are you done passing ropes of mucoid plaque now? :-)

    peace, emily

    swine flu symptoms
    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has learned more about the swine flu's symptoms. I thought I had heard that it also included gastro-intestinal symptoms- i.e.- diahrea and vomiting, along with the nasal and chest symptoms, along with a fever. I'm wondering if that's true, and maybe it wasn't actually the swine flu if it didn't have the g.i. symptoms along with it.
I've heard that if you have symptoms, you should go to the Dr. and get tested- that there is a swab/culture type test they can give you to see if it's actually H1N1 or not.
    Anyone else have more info?

    I've heard....
...of difficulty breathing was major on the list, lethargic, cough, Fever, vomiting and diarheaa was on the list from what I got from our school. You want to catch it early then it being too late, I think if my kid had a cough, I'd probably be running to the ER with him right away, we've already had a couple die from the swine flu around our area, so we're watching for it.

    Hugsss!

I don't think the CDC is
I don't think the CDC is doing any of us any favors when they constantly tell people that H1N1 is nothing to worry about and that most likely their symptoms will be very mild. This has the effect of a lot of people, more and more every day, walking around not caring whether they infect other people or not and not even bothering to get a flu shot.
This flu can be deadly for those of us with depressed immune systems, now I read that even just having asthma, or just being pregnant can cause this flu to be fatal. Since when did Asthma or being pregnant become a death sentence and treated like it doesn't matter in such a cavalier way by Sebelius of the Health & Human Services and advisor to the Prez?
You'd think that the CDC would at least caution people to be more concerned about others they may transmit the flu to and not just be concerned about their own mild case of the flu.
I literally ask every customer that comes into my business to wash their hands with the hand sanitizers I have placed on my counters just to help curb the spread of the flu, especially to me. Just venting. I noticed that the Author of, "The Coming Plague", now has the H1N1 flu and has publically stated that it's the worst flu she has ever experienced and it's still with her after 8 days. For me, it's probably a death sentence, and I can't even GET a flu shot because of the BMT/Stem cell transplant.
