Surgeon says my stoma of only 2 weeks needs to be redone, has this happened to anyone else?

Hi group, I had my colostomy done on 9-23, came home last Sunday. The ostomy nurse on Wed called the DR because she said it did not look nice and beefy red. He has scheduled surgery for next Tuesday, says he can just pull through a bit more for fresher tissue. Now I'm really scared. Anybody else had this experience? Waiting to hear, Katie in Pensacola

    So Sorry
    Katie,

I'm so sorry for what you are going thru. I don't have a colostomy so don't have any specific advise. Just wanted to send my prayers. Hopefully this will not be a painful procedure - enough is enough....I'm sure someone with experience will respond to your post. Please let us know how you're doing. You keep fighting the good fight. I'll be praying for you.

    God Bless You,

    Debbie (gramma)
