Round #2

Well, tomorrow I begin the week long trek to the radiologist for shots, capsule, and body scans. This isn't the theraputic dose, it's to make sure I am cancer free. I'm not nervous at all. I am keeping a positive outlook. My friends are wonderful. They want to come with me tomorrow while I have my first shot in my butt!! Hope everybody out their is coping.

    Swollen Salivary Gland
I just went thru the whole thing...body scans came back clean...I am very happy, but my left salivary gland is very swollen and hurts. The doctor said this side effect is very rare after the smaller diagnostic dose of RAI, but he thinks that it might be from the RAI. Did you have any side effects like this? Has anyone else experienced this side effect after their diagnostic (not theraputic) dose of RAI? Thanks.
