Had total thyroidectomy on 9/18/09 - prelim diagnosis of pappilary thyroid cancer. Immed. aftr waking up in recovery experienced shortness of breath and feeling of no being able to get a satisfying breath. Stat cxr and ekg done - were normal. came home 2nd day still feeling that way but not quite as bad. Also a lot of thick mucous in throat and very difficult to bring it up. Still don't have voice back and not eating regular food. Anyone else experience this?? Please reply...
