Tomorrow

Monday is the day that my mom goes into the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to get her CT scan done.

She has completed 6 cycles of chemotheraphy and this scan will determine if she needs more surgery done.

Her abdomen has gone down A LOT compared to what it was back in April of this year.

It has been a long, hard road.. these past few months. I am surprised that I got through it! I am thankful for those on this board and my family and friends that have given me support. I don't think that I could have gotten through this without you ladies' help :)

I hope and pray that all goes well tomorrow. If my mom does need surgery, that she doesn't get as sick as she did last time and that she gets even stronger and lives a very long life.

Inside, I am scared. But I will pray that my mom will become strong.

    Hi

    I hope your mothers CT Scan goes well. Your are a very strong person, I know what it is like to go through Cancer with your Mother, My mother had Colon Cancer. My two daughters age 40 and 44 and are going through it with me now. I try be as positive as I can be but I know they are scared and worried. They also went through it with their Grandmother. We are very open about everything. We all are here for you, you are a very strong and wonderful daughter.

    My mom had a call from her nurse at SCCA, and they said the CT scan was not clear.. huh? I wonder why?

    Tomorrow, she is going in for a bone scan. The cancer had spread to the bone.. so they need to know for sure.

    Thursday is when there will be results and the doctor will talk to her about what is going to happen from there. I am scared.. and I hope that everything goes well.

    I wish you and your mom all the best.....I guess thats all we can do. It's wonderful how you are standing by your mom so closely. I'm sure she appreciates it more than words can say.

    I will be saying extra prayers this evening for you and your mother. There is always hope so I pray that you will not look too far ahead and find comfort day by day. Having spent Monday with some great hopeful ladies,all with Ovarian at some stage, really opened my eyes to what hope can do. Saundra

    Dear Brittany,
    Best of luck to Mom, and to you, this is so tough for both of you and I hope the doctor has a treatment plan that will bring her good health.

    You're a wonderful daughter and I'm sure you give her strength and comfort.

    I know it's difficult for you, but I hope you're able to keep up with your studies.

    Good Luck with the Bone Scan
    I'll be thinking about you all day tomorrow. Please keep us posted. I don't think they can tell from a CT scan if it has spread to the bone so let's hope that the bone scan is clear clear clear!! I will light a candle for you!!
