Hi everyone, I have to get a hypaque enema done tomorrow, it is just like a barrium enema but since it goes in through the stoma, they use a solution that can easily be exrected. Has anyone had it done, what can I expect. They are doing this to make sure there is no leaking anywhere nefore the reversal on tuesday. The thought of them putting something in the stoma makes me queezy. Just touching the stoma and how fleshy it is makes me queezy.. EEEWWWW.. Thanks Petrina

            stoma enema
Hi Petrina
I had an enema done through my stoma before a scope was done. There was no pain. The nurse that did it was very gentle and experienced. Just let them know if you feel too much pressure and make them go slow. Hope it goes as smooth for you too. I was so happy to get my reversal done, as long as I drink enough water, and eat properly not too many problems, though it took some time, and hemmoroid pain that has now resolved over time. Best of hopes for your upcoming procedure and your reversal.
