Just returned from oncologist appointment.I will have port placed on Monday. The plan is to begin chemo next Wednesday 9/16. I will be taking Adriamycin and Cytoxan once every 3 weeks for 12 weeks, then I will get Taxol every 3 weeks for 12 weeks. Will repeat PET scan to see how the liver cancer is responding to treatment, then I will received Herceptin weekly for 52 weeks. If the liver doesnt respond then it sounds like I will need some intense radiation.

I think my Oncology surgeon has done Radiofrequency Ablation on liver tumors. Basically, it "kills" the tumor. Have you ever heard of it?
Yes, my oncologist mentioned that today. After I take my first round of chemo I will have a scan to see how the liver responds. If not she said radiofrequency ablation.
