Made it through 1st treatment

Hi everybody,
Well I made it through my 1st part of the 1st treatment. The PICC line isertion went well, the only pain was from the Laticain they used to numb me. It was a long day, we got there at 8 a.m. and left about 3 p.m. So far less than 24 hours into it I feel great. I only notice the pump hanging around my waist and showering takes more time. I got a dry sleeve to put over the PICC line to keep the area dry and clean in the shower.
Anyhow we made it to Stateline last night and I even drove most of the way, Sheri was really tired. She didn't sleep well the night before my treatment. I think this is harder on her than me sometimes. So tonight we see Reba at Star of the Desert Arena here at Buffalo Bills where we are staying. I have heard she always puts on a great show. I hope so, Sheri has really been looking forward to this and it's an early anniversary for us, 22 years of her putting up with me, she is a good lady for sticking it out this far and I love her for it.
I hope you all are feeling well and have a great weekend.

Having a great timegrammadebbie said:Great time
HiDon,
So glad that you are out and about having fun. Will pray that your treatments continue to be "side effect" free. Hope you have a wonderful time.
Blessings to You,
Debbie (gramma)
Just a quick update, we are having a great time so far. I ate a big breakfast and then Sheri and I went shopping at the Outlet Mall for a little while. She really enjoyed it. Then we came back to the room and I took a 3 hour nap so I can make it through tonight. We are going to Tony Romas for Ribs in about an hour before the concert. Sheri said we need to spend some money on you too. My response was this weekend is all about you, and I mean it. We will do everything she wants to do. She doesn't ask for much, and I'm tired of being the center of attention these days.
