Gallbladder Cancer

We just got the news that my grandmother has gallbladder cancer. She went to the hospital for surgery last week to have her gallbladder removed and was supposed to be out that night. They held her and today have told us that she had cancer of the gallbladder and that it has spread to her liver. My family is devastated and we don't know much about it. We were told there is a very low survival rate. Does anyone have any advice on anything we could do to beat this? This is especially hard for me; I moved 13 hours away from my family just 3 months ago. I wish I could be there for her. My fiance and I are driving in this weekend for my bridal shower.... great timing....
