Post Biopsy recovery
I am drinking a lot of water, I am taking it easy. I do not have any problems or pain when peeing or BM's. No temp or other symptoms.
So I guess my question is what have other people experianced following a Biopsy ? how long will this sorenes/pain last and how much is too much blood in my urine?

I had the same thing happen to me. Urine was red, bright red, for awhile. Did not last long. Also stung a bit when urinating. I agree with Larry. Drink lots of fluids. That will help to flush your system out. It should get better in time. I did not experience any real pain after the biopsy, just some mild discomfort, like someone kicked me in the butt. This also should go away. Your doctor should have mentioned these things to you before the biopsy. Since I'm not a doctor, and everyone will react differently to a biopsy, if these issues continue to trouble you, give your doctor a call. He is the only one who can really help set your mind at ease again. Another rather unpleasant side effect was blood in my semen. Bright red at first, and then brown for awhile. This was rather unsettling at first, but it will go away over time. I’m having robotic surgery on 18-Sept so this semen issue will go away for me for good very soon. Good luck & God bless.

Thanks for your comments.
Late last night my urine finally cleared up. Today I have not seen any blood yet. Im still sore "like I got kicked there" but other than that Im feeling much better today. I did put a call into my Doctors office just to be safe but Im sure now that this is fairly normal. Thanks again for the comments they helped ease my troubled mind ! lol

Note MWA1028's comment's above. Blood in urine generally goes away rather "quickly". Blood in semen goes away much slower. Departure of blood from semen seems to depend on healing time of your prostate and the frequency of ejaculation. Blood in semen is generally rather disturbing to the individual and their sexual partner. Use of condoms makes things a bit more acceptable.0 -
Over did it again.
Well I guess I realy need to take it easy. Did a little exersise yesterday, very light for about 30mins. Noticed a lot of blood in my urine again last night and this morning. Discomfort is better today so another few days and I think I'll be ok. I cant imagine what the recovery is like from surgery! I must sound like a whining child to you guys that have been "through" it lol. But this is what this place is all about, sharing our experiences.
