My sister had total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and debulking(Lost 1/4 of her liver too) on 8/13. She seemed recovering ok until yesterday. Vomited everything she ate and no passing at all. Today after a few hours at ER and a CT scan, doctor says she got small intestinal blaockage.
How common does this happen after surgery? Will she need another sergery to unblock?
She is schedule to start chemo next Tuesday. I guess that will be delayed?
I am 3000 miles away from her, what can I do to help her?
