Good to see you again.
Good to see you again. Well, I've got good news and I've got bad news. First the good news.....my hair started coming back in. Now for the bad news...It kicked the hell out of my bones. BUT...many women find it's one of the easiest chemos, so don't panic Best of luck to you

Hi Sherry
It is good to hear from you. I am glad everything is going OK. I know how tired I was, I was on the combo of taxotere, Carboplatin, and Herceptin...so I'm not sure if the side effects I had were from the carboplatin or the taxotere. Hang in there girl you will be done before you know it.

Taxotere
Sherry, i did taxotere, and found it to be easier on the tummy, i was not so much sick to my stomach as i was just had nausea. The nausea seemed to last longer then when i did the AC but was not a sever, more annoying, I did have pain issues with it though, seemed to agravte the nueropthy in my legs (i ma a diabetic) but the oncon dude gave me meds for that so it was all good.
good luck with the rest of your treatment
you will be in my prayers

Hey Sherry! I didn't have chemo, so, I can't add much about that. Sorry about the fatigue. Just try and get as much sleep as possible whenever you can. Will you be done soon?

Hello Sherry,
Taxotere could be OK, especially if you take pre-medications (complementary).
I took Lorazepam and or Phochloperazine from Nausea
Prevacid from stomach pain. Talk to your doctor.
Good luck

My second cocktail was Taxol w/Herceptin and I think Taxol and Taxotere is the same line. Taxol was a piece of cake. I never had to take anti-nausea pills with Taxol.

I had it. I think it was the clear drip stuff. Actually I can't remember exactly. I think I was sick on it too but the good thing is I've forgotten so can't remember if it was the
A/C I'm thinking about. I think it was both. I had the Taxotere in 2004. I had a reaction to it tho and they had to drip slower than most people.0 -

I have had 3 rounds of Taxotere with Cytoxin. Most say the Taxotere is easy to tolerate. I personally am having some side effects which caused my doctor to postpone and possibly stop the treatment. As they say, we are all different. I hope you are with the majority and it is a breeze for you compared to some of the other Chemo drugs! Best of Luck to you!0 -

ativan is a valium like med that is anti nausea and anti anxiety. I take it for both. I cant remember which one I will have taxotere or taxol and most times I dont spell the first one right. I will get it for 12 weeks . once a week. I am told easier to tolerate in smaller doses once a week just a pain to come in once a week and prolongs chemo. The other way is every two weeks for four cycles larger doses. I wish everyone had the same effects but as you see here it varies. I like to know what could happen as then I wont get to freaked if it does. i prefer to be prepared but try to hope for the best.0 -

Hi Sherry, so glad to see
Hi Sherry, so glad to see you post again. I can't help you with Taxotere since I had 8 rounds of CAF. I've heard it can cause nerve damage in some women, but it is much easier on the stomach than the adriamycin. Good luck to you and keep us posted. Hugs, Lili0 -

Leeza,
Lorazepam has dual function, if you take it anxiety it should prevent nausea0 -

Hey Sherry, How you doing. Remember you and I are on the same path here. I am starting with Taxol and Herceptin this Wedensday. Has me a bit worried to, not knowing what will happen. The AC was not great but I got through ok. Glad to hear from you. Take Care0
