Hyper-continence
Bill_4,
It's been nearly six months since I had radical prostatectomy. I am 60, my pre-surgery PSA was 22, second post operative, 0.008. I can relate to the pain with catheter, not severe as yours but still annoying. I had one incision which even now itches and tingles just a little. I used hand lotion to ease the pain in the early stages post-op and that really eased the pain and itching. Another thing that worked for me was gently rubbing the incision site in small circles. My wife told me that worked for her after her hysterectomy. As you said, I too am constantly reminded how healing varies for each of us everytime I read someone's posting on these bulletin boards. Good luck with your healing. It does get better.

Thanks JR for suggestions. I also have had some success with rubbing the wound with ice to stop the itching.
