Anyone had stereotatic radiosurgery??

First a little background - I usually post on the head and neck board as I just completed chemo and radiation for Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the larynx and now have to wait for a CT scan to find out if these treatments helped or not.
I also have non small cell adenocarcinoma in my left lung. Both cancers are inoperable. I saw my Onco Dr last week and he said they would try Stereotatic Radiosurgery on my lung but no chemo. From what I have read they do not usually give chemo with this type of treatment. I have researched this procedure but would like to know if anyone has had this type of treatment and what your results were. I meet with the Rad Dr on the 3rd and have many questions for him but would like input from anyone who has undergone this type of procedure.
I'm on a "mini vacation" from treatment for about a month - YAHOO - no driving 2 hours every day for treatment!! I still get tired easily but no more nausea. Hoping to get my strength back before the next round of treatments as this has been a very long summer. I'm not going to complain because at least I'm still here.
Hope someone can give me more info.
Good luck to everyone and I hope you all continue to improve.
Thank you,
Glenna
