Went to SS office thursday to apply for disability, NO WATER, NOTHING TO DRINK OR YOUR CELL PHONE ALOUD IN THAT BUILDING. I will more than likely get, but no SSI we are just not poor enough for that, I guess being out of work, broke and having cancer is not poor enough!!! maybe if they subtract $50 from my non income for each doctors visit and $275 for each scan and all the other little co-pays that stack up maybe then i will be poor enough. Oh and don't make the mistake of letting anyone help you because guess what that is income. ( eventhough its not constant or guareenteed or earned and most likely will not continue). I was there two hours and 40 mins so you know what i got when i left, YOU GUESSED IT A PARKING TICKET, $10 FOR BEING OUT OF TIME ON MY TWO HOUR METER. NO LUNCH FOR ME.

DID YOU SEE THE HUMOR THERE?

Ok so here's the next story, Friday i was suppose to go the the farmers market to sell my art,
but the Weather Channel said rain all morning, so i opted out, i went to the grocery store instead only to get a phone calll from my son to say he ran out of gas and he needed me to come to him so he could have gas and write him a tardy note for school and this was my fault because i was not in his truck going to the flea market!!!! He would not have run out of gas if he was in my car because i know to put gas in my car when it is empty!!
BY the way it did not rain!

No No it gets worse, So I also had to drive to Emory (two hours away from home)
to get a some scans done, which was a total pains cause i got lost going there,
And when i got there had to park on top of parking deck, yeah hot car, I go to the radiology dept once i found it in that maze of a hospital, and I drank my bottles of glow juice, and the put an IV in my hand because they could not find a vein in my arm after trying four times,

And the vein in my hand poped open when they put the dye in and yes this hurts very bad,
so they looked for another vein which they could not find after more needle sticks,

they sent me to infusion thinking those experts could find a vein in my arm of little and weak veins, No luck they only stuck more holes in me,

So no scans for, me i was told, to call the doctor monday to see waht he wanted to do<:(

Then now wait heres the Humor

When driving home i missed my exit off 85, i went 20 mile out of my way, i even looked at my exit as i passed it and said in my brain oh look theres the outlet mall ( the outlet mall exit is not my exit it is two exits after my exit) i should get off,
but i didn't i just kept on driving 20 more miles and three exit later i turned around!!!

Ha HA lol and HE HE......

Hugs and kisses
Winney

    Hey Winney,
Wow what a story...I am so sorry you had to drink all that Crap for nothing.Don't you feeling like telling those people to step aside I can find my own vein and do it myself..We have been through it enough we probalby can....
I know how fustrating SS can be..I was also turned down because we made to much money...We live pay check to pay check but we make to much...What a joke that is...I know we can all stop working (every family member) then go on Welfare and guess what we would get SS then!!!!!!!!!
Well atleast you are laughing about all of this it sure beats crying cause you only end up having a headache from that...Hope you have a better day....................JULIE

    Bummer
I'm so sorry you had a rough day. I probably would have insisted that someone get that dye in your vein especially when you have to drive that far to get it. They have to realize that people don't all have veins popping out of their skin just to make it easy for them to do their job. I have tiny veins too and have this problem with that. I hope you have a better day today.

    Laughing with you, I hope
I didn't know SS would turn you down if you made too much money. My husband brings home plenty on his own, I just put in for disability because I felt after paying in for 40 years it was due to me because I won't be around when I'm 62 to get it. We didn't have any problems, did it all over the internet and had it approved in five days.
So sorry about your other problems, though. Wow you had a day from hell.

    So....
When are you going to tell us the bad part of your day???
I would have had veins popping like crazy.

You gotta laugh but one hell of a day.
Today things can only look up.

    Bad Day Anywhere!
Oh, my dear! If it ain't one thing it's ten other! I've had bad days, but you got me beat. I hope your day doesn't repeat itself. As for the scan, good grief! Having just had a CT scan on Monday (waited two hours to be radiated!) I know how frustrated you must feel. Thank heaven you can laugh. Humor/laughter is a really potent medicine. Sometimes it takes time for the meddicine/laughter to set it, but once there it is truly good for you!

Wishing you better luck and lots of laughing,
    Sandi

    Now that's a bad day
Wow! You should have asked them if they had an IV team!!! Even my ifusion room as good as they are have to call in others from time to time. The nurses in my infusion room now have an ultra sound machine to locate veins deep. I also saw the nurses from the Life Flight called in to find a vein once.
I am lucky I guess I have a once a month infusion for MS and have been having them for years. I have large veins in my hands but small ones in my arms.
Hope you don't have a day like this again. Paula
