doxil question

Hi ladies, I am posting a doxil question for a friend who is in the hospital and has no e-mail access. She had three cycles of doxil with no side-effects. At the end of the thrid cycle, she started to throw up and that lasted for 3 days. When she did admit herself to the hospital, the doctor said it could be the doxil causing inflamation of the stomach and esophagus. Anyone ever had that problem?
Any input welcome,
Kathleen:)

Thanks,jane65 said:HI, I can't help you with your question, I haven't been on Doxil (yet).
Why don't you try the MedHelp OVCA forum, or the Johns Hopkins OVCA forum. Maybe one of the ladies on those boards can help you and your friend with some info.
Jane
I Jane thanks for your response. I think that the reason there is no response, is that this kind of reaction is rare. I did find a couple other ladies who had their esophagus swell on another board.
Take care,
kathleen:)
