Treatment #12

Today is the day I have been waiting for. At 9:ooam They will hook me up for #12. I am gonna tell the nurse to hit me with her best shot, cause this is her last chance. On Wednesday they can unhook me and turn me loose. I am so glad to be finished with these 12 treatments. I hope that everyone else is having a good week and gets only good news for a while.

    Good for you girl...#12 will be a good feeling and kind of a let down also...hard to explain but you'll see tomorrow when they finish with you...but still its the last one so enjoy the ending of chemo and hopefully for good...tomorrow will be a very emotional day for you so be prepared to let it go if ya need to, they understand what you have been through.....Congratulations

    at the end of the chemo tunnel has been reached. Chemo party has come an end. CONGRATS!!!! are completing all 12 treatments. Treat yourself to something cause you deserve it!!!!!!!!

    As I glance at the time, it's 9:15 so you're already into your last treatment (not sure what time zone you live in- I'm west coast). I hope that this last treatment goes without a hitch and that you'll be celebrating in a few more days that YOU'RE DONE!!!!!

    Almost time for the dance! Although - Buzzard is a bit right about the let down - it's great for the first week or so, but then you start to wonder what to do with yourself on that week you should be sitting in the chair! Don't worry - that doesn't last long - trust me!

    Wonderful news Carletta, I am sure all will go well, congratulations, it feels like mine is taking me forever with all these surgeries I've had to go through in between treatments, heck, I should be almost done as well, but good luck, I hope it's killed all the cancer!

    Thanks everyone
    I am sitting here tonight hooked up to my lovely fanny pack and thinking how I hope I never again have to hear that little whirring noise it makes as it pumps after Wed. I will not miss it. I am thinking positive thoughts , that it has killed all the cancer, but of course there is always the possibility that 1 or more cells survived. I'm not gonna worry about it though, because i can't do anything about it anyway, so I will just accept what I have and go with it. If and when it comes back, I will kill that cancer cell too. I won't discriminate. I hate them all. I'm praying that all of yours die too.
    Donna when I joined the group, i remember you were just starting out too. You had been really sick with your treatments. I think you were on #2 when I started. I am so sorry that you have had so many setbacks with the surgeries, but hang in there girl, your road is a little longer than mine has been, but you will get there too. See ya in NEDsville.It started out as a little town , but it is growing. We need more residents.

    I am gonna celebrate
    Oh i forgot to let everyone know, I am gonna celebrate. That lovely little girl in the piocture is my grandbaby ZOE, and she is coming to visit me for 3 weeks. She is almost 15 months old now and is starting to talk. I am planning on spoiling her rotten before i have tosend her back to Ca. I am gonna turn her into a Ga peach if possible.

    Just wanted to say good job on finishing your Chemo. I was only able to complete 11 of the 12 treatments due to complications . It was a wonderful feeling to be done however, I want to let you know that you may experience a little sadness, loneliness (not sure what to call it). We are so accustomed to seeing our chemo support staff and drs 1 or 2 times a week and all of a sudden its every 3 months (barring symptoms or complications). Even though I didn't look forward to the treatments I did look forward to the time to ask questions and see other chemo patients etc. It is a little bitter sweet. Don't know if this happened to anyone else but thought I'd mention it because it took me by surprise.. I was IIIc with 8/38 lymph nodes positive and completed my chemo a little over a year ago. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have.

    Again, job well done and many blessing to you and your family.

    Carletta , one more thing......maybe two
    First of all you will find that this won't dwell on your mind all of the time...you will eventually get to where you actually go hours or maybe a whole day and not really think about it ..you finally get your life back as normal as possible.....believe me its a wonderful feeling and you will be there soon...Im about 4 months out of chemo and even though its a large part of my new "normal", it is again "normal" for the most part...I am also just today feeling like I am getting some of my strength back as you will in time and #12 is a great milestone...When they take out the fannypack for the VERY LAST TIME...it will as they say be a bit bittersweet but sweet nonetheless, and you will feel a conquering feeling of a "Monster" that you have beat into submission, something that you should really be proud of having accomplished. It will more than likely overwhelm you when its removed and it should...you have conquered the beast...it is a moving experience...and only an experience that we as survivors go through...way to go girl..my sincere applause , hugs, and continued well wishes to you and yours............and one more thing.....























    tomorrow night...YOU GET TO DO THE NEKKID HAPPY DANCE.......LOL......

    YEAH!!!!
    YEAH!!!! I get number 12 next week and hope that the lit part on my liver is gone so that I don't have to do radiation. As of right now, they don't know what it is, but it is tiny. Last week, my CEA level went from 2.5 to 2.8, so hope that is NOT an indication of a tumour!!!!!!!

    Goodness, won't this cancer just leave me alone!


    I am very excited for you and hope to share in your good news next week!!!! My energy level is good but my face, that is, when I look in the mirror, it doesn't even look like me. I look old! But oh well.....here's to life!
