I've been lurking every now and again, and answered a few as I could. Been really busy trying to plan a wedding, plan a trip in November for my 30th HS reunion, keep track of my 19 year old, and recently fired my office assistant at work, so am working 7 days a week, and mostly exhausted. It's only been 12 weeks since the last chemo treatment...

I will be directing him here. He started having bad pains about 3 weeks ago, and began to bleed rectally about 2 weeks ago. I tried to convince him to go to the doc before that, when he was just spotting blood, but he kept saying it was just hemroids. When the abdominal pain started, he thought maybe he pulled a muscle. but then tissues of blood, and finally he made the appointment. They sent him straight for the CT scan, which we should have the results for tomorrow, and he has set up a colonoscopy also (I have my follow up scheduled also - can we say HIS AND HERS???). As of today, his bm's are little to none (and since he drinks beer every night very odd anyway) and getting more "wormy looking."

Since we now know what to look for, I am afraid that he may just have what we all have. He spent so much time this past year looking after me, it's my turn to be caregiver I believe. Even tho I still have numb fingers and feet, I can do it!

PS. He still wants to go through with the wedding even tho he may be walking down the aisle with the buddy attached....

I know what you mean by keeping track of your 19 year old. My 18 year old daughter just got her first car and is starting college in 2 weeks so I TOTALLY know.....
Good luck with the wedding hope all goes well....Try not to stress so much with it....

....I pray that he'll be ok, and I know what a great caregiver you'd be too him as well, I sure can't wait to see those wedding photos as well, you're going to be a beautiful bride~

Thanx guys - I'm praying too. We are thinking the worst and hoping for the best. The CT scan came back clear, they were looking for diverticulitis first, his blood work came back good as well. So, as it is time for a colonoscopy for him - last one was 8 years ago - and by the way for the vets out there - that was where he had the first one and they told him to come back in 10 years, however did not take into consideration the fact that he has had 3 family members die from colorectal cancer. I made him go to my doc, who said that with his history he is 3 years late having one. anyway, that isn't scheduled for another 3 weeks (2 days before mine), so we will see!

I will be sure to post wedding pics here! However, the wedding isn't until October 30th - doesn't seem far away on this end - so much to do with people coming from out of town! This is the time I wish I had family and friends closer .....
