Questions for Oncologist

Hey everyone, I have a question. Monday I have my first check-up with my Medical Oncologist. I want to ask her about the CYP2D6 Genotype test before I start my Tamoxifen. Last time she told me it was not avalible to the public yet, but I think she misunderstood me since alot of you have had this done. Do you know of a website I can check out to have some ammo to take with me?
Also I am thinking of asking her about taking a baby asprin daily since clotting is a side effect of Tamoxifen too. Is anyone doing this?

I just Googled CYP2D6 Genotype test (typed those words exactly in my browser) and I came up with tons of hits. Maybe somewhere you can find the answer you're looking for.
I don't think it would hurt for you to take a baby aspirin daily, I'm taking it and my oncologist didn't say anything one way or the other, but if you still have doubt, ask yours. Everyone is different.

I am on tamoxifen and did
I am on tamoxifen and did worry about the clotting issue at first but the risk is less than 1%.

So, I don't really think about it. Couldn't hurt to ask though if you are worried. Your peace of mind is very important. Good luck, Eil
