I think we are having a girl

I get my daughter for 10 days and look so forward to spending quality time with her. It is so wonderful how children can bring such pleasure at any age. I am fortunate to have 8 wonderful children and blessed. We had the baby shower today and had a wonderful time. I was actually able to enjoy myself without hurting so bad all day. It took my mind off a lot and I was glad for that.

ahh a baby! Congrats
ahh a baby! Congrats grandma!
On May 16th 2008 I became a grandmother for the first timeThen 4 days later I was dx'd with cc
It was this little baby that got me through the tough times and yes, he gave me something worth fighting for.
I took care of him last night- 15 months old- he was so cute tottling up to me, with his blanket in one hand, a book in the other, pointing to my lap and saying *Uhejoilpth* (which I think meant UP, lol) I squeezed him, kissed him, breathed him and the overwhelming joy that life and living does not get any better than this! -

That is great news about the upcoming baby.
Eight kids, wow.
Kids can be such a wonderful distraction from what we are going through as well as an inspiration and motivation to keep on truckin'.

Enjoy your daughter and the time together. Glad you are feeling good.
How are your counts?
Linda: I'm taking the neuopogen shots and my white count was up this week but my platelet count went down 60 points. I go in Wednesday for blood test so I'll find out how white count/platelet is doing then. I took two weeks off of chemo to spend time with daughter. How are your counts and your chemo going?
