    I can understand
    Julie,

I can understand your "gnawing feeling" of worry with this upcoming surgery. I will hope for the best and also pray for you for peace about the whole thing and, of course, for the surgery to go smoothly and that there will be no complications or anything else found!

    Blessings to you,
    Lisa

    Hi Julie,
    Hi Julie,

------Shake it off!! Shake those feelings away and think nothing but positive & happy thoughts. Know that you will come through this with the best of results!! Keeping busy always helps - make some spaghetti or lasagna and freeze it in individual servings for your return and for your family. A baked chicken is another good one to cook ahead and freeze. Have you packed your bedroom slippers so that you will be ready to get up and walk? Look for funny jokes and comedy on TV. Your family here will be praying for you and sending good vibes.

    Surgery - Blah !
I`ll tell you what my football coach used to say - WALK IT OFF !!!!
I`m kidding. I don`t blame you for being nervous. Surgery is a scary thing especially coupled with all you`ve been through. We are always going to have anxiety of some sort about cancer. Worried they might find something, worried that pain in your stomach or side is cancer. Worried that that out of breath feeling means it spread. It`s only natural. I hope that you can get some piece of mind before surgery. It is never fun but you will feel so much better later and I am almost sure that everything will be fine. Your blood work looks good and that is a good indicator. God is watching over you and so are we.

    We've all been there
I think once you've had cancer, it always hangs in the back of your mind that it could come back. We all go through it at one time or another. I know when my son had his graduation a couple of weeks ago (from radiation therapy school), he showed us around the hospital and took us in some of the treatment rooms. His fiancee's mom was there and was asking questions about how certain tests were done. Right in the middle of the discussion, I had a flash to a ct scan, and I could picture myself lying there with my arms over my head. And I thought how it would feel to have to go through the whole thing again...

So I understand. We all do. But you're going to be fine, and we'll be here for you.

    *hugs*

But you do have a choice!
But you do have a choice! And you are choosing to get well! Here is what I do when I have to fly- well, first I have to knock myself out with valium, but then as I am pulled dragging and kicking into the airplane, I start to envision the plane landing safely and the relief I feel at getting to my destination safely and how stupid I feel for making such a scene! Then as the valium takes over, everything is fine and dandy, we are just going for a little ride in my living room. :)

I would ask for a little something for your nerves before they start the pre-op. These last couple of times- knee surgery in April and hernia repair in July? I asked for and got a nice shot of something. The last thing I remember was telling the doctor that I knew my fear was way stupid but I had been through so much, that just the sight and smell of a hospital was sending my blood pressure way high- both times the doctor and nurses very understanding and took care of the anxiety with no delay.

Truly, everything will be fine Julie. I totally believe that. You are going to be so glad you did this, NO MORE GALLBLADDER AND HERNIA PAIN! YIPPPEEEEE

    *hugs*
