So far....

I asked about post surgical chemo. They indicated this is not normally done. Wouldn't that be good to wipe up any leftovers?

it has been a tough week. Layne's job went away thursday...and his insurance of course. So we are struggling with all that. But that is where we are right now. Midway through Proton. Also, there are things about EC that everyone here knows that I don't post on the carepages...because well, people don't understand a lot of these things. They seem to assume you have cancer, they take it out, you are healed! I used to think that as well.
Getting EC in the family is a lot like getting a college education in cancer. -

Hey Betty,
I'm so sorry about Layne's job & insurance loss! I have personally been there. Trying to
get another insurance to pick you up well lets say!#@#^&^%*, and trying to get medicaid or
disability is a big hassle, but fight for it he has been working all of his life and has a right to get it. If they tell you no contact you local congressmens office they may be able to help you. They helped me.
If you need any more pointers let me know!\\

I agree with you so much and I am sorry that your husband lost his job and insurance i hope it isn't from having cancer. Yes EC is a hard thing to have and be a caregiver for, as you know I have posted several things about our journey of course our journey is not finished but we are half way. Please know I am here if you need to vent at anytime I think I have posted several things, about EC and what to expect, from 'BIG GIRL PANTIES" TO MOE'S SHOES, and several on there about Jeff's surgery and each day i knew something. Please feel free to read them, I also posted a long arcticle under caregivers, you might want to read it. just know I am here for anything
You are so right we are getting a college education in cancer.
Hang in there
