Getting to the bottom of it

Hi all,
My saga continues. I had a CT/Pet scan on Aug. 5th, and found there is indeed a tumor that now measures 3.8 x 3.8 cm, up from 2 x 1.8 cm in February. Today I got the results of my CA-125 that was drawn on Monday; it's 47, down from 61 last month.
My oncologist is on vacation this week, so I won't hear from him until next week. A nurse gave me the results of the CT/Pet scans. She also said the tumor is the only place indicated as cancer.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
Sue

Hugs
Hi Sue, so sorry to hear about the tumor.I just finished 18 treatments of radiation for a tumor. That was the only thing that was found on my pet/ct scan. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Your a tough warrior, hang in there.

Thanks for update
Dearest Sue,
I am so glad the only cancer showing up is the growth you have had, but sorry to hear it has grown. Keep in mind how small a centimeter is and then it doesn't sound like much growth anyway... my doc will draw a picture to show me how much the growth is. and I know it takes about 2.5cm to make an inch.
You have the Teal Warrior group lifting you in prayer so a lot of ammunition coming from all over and then I know with your spirit you win the battle again. :-)
Lots of Hugs ♥ Prayers

Sorry
That is about the size of mine. That news is bearable for me as that was the only spot that showed on the CT. They did a needle biopsy to see if it was the cancer or something from the diverticulitis that I had in March. It was the cancer. I am on doxil and carbo now for six doses, one every four weeks. Looks like we are in the same boat, Sue. I didn't freak out this time, did you? LOL Saundra0 -
Thanks to you all!LPack said:sorry
Sue,
Sorry, but we are loaded for you and each other!! So many of us fighting the battle again.
And yes we will Praise the Lord in all things.
Love,
Libby
Thank you to everyone! I'm not terribly upset with this, except for the apparent lack of concientious treatment. My husband and I went to a family picnic today, and his cousin (a nurse) told us of serious shortcomings in her elderly mother's care. It gets to be disheartening when you entrust yourself to "experts" who don't seem to really care to try to find out where your apparent problem is coming from.
I'm still asymptomatic, feel well, and will have a lot of questions for my new oncologist when he calls.
Oddly enough, I think he'll end up scheduling surgery for sometime in September. My hysterectomy was September 4, 2002.
Again, thanks for your concern. You know I love you all!
