My oncologist and most
My oncologist and most everything you read will tell you to avoid soy, if at all possible. However, any oncologist realizes that it would be impossible to not get any soy in your diet at all, as, sometimes it is hidden in ingredients and you won't know. So, just be smart, and, if it says it has soy, don't eat or drink it.
Hope that helped.

I know my cancer was
estrogen fed(and soy is a natural estrogen)so I won't eat anything that has the word soy as part of the title of it(like soy milk, soy sauce, and tofu just because I think there's a lot of soy in there). But I don't think you could totally cut it out of your diet-a lot of things still seem to have a little bit of it in them.0 -

The medical jury is still
The medical jury is still kinda out as far as soy is concerned, but as soy makes phyto-estrogen, and our bodies can't tell the difference between that andthat which is naturally produced, if our BC is estrogen positive, and therefore feeds on estrogen, we probably wisely avoid copious and obvious soy in our diets. As others have said, it is near impossible to avoid it altogether, but tofu, edamame, soy sauce, tofutti, soy burgers and things that are basically 100% soy, well, I don't "go there". Ditto soy boosts in smoothies, or soy milk. If you start reading labels, you might be amazed at just how much soy is in EVERYTHING! But, as with sugar and other things we may be trying to cut down on, where the soy is in the line-up on food labels will give you a good idea if it is a lot or scant.
Hope this helps and isn't even more confusing! And, btw, it is considered a GOOD thing to prevent BC, but again, the story changes if we already had/have BC! Can't win for losing, it seems! LOL
