Meant to post this yesterday. Did y'all read that Corazon Aquino, former leader of the Phillipines, recently died of colon cancer? The beast strikes again.

    I saw that
    Just a piece of trivia, I was stationed in the Philippines when her husband was released from prison. Marcos, who was the president at the time had pardoned him (I forget what the political issues were). When Aquino was coming down the airplane steps, he was shot and killed. It was a really bad time in the PI...we found a filipino guard dead in our dental clinic parking lot a few days later. I left for another base before Mrs. Aquino ran for president, but those of us who had been there felt it was a good thing she won.

    God rest her soul.
