Just a Thank you to all...

Hi Beth,
We're here to support each other, and we understand what each of us is going through, because we're going through it together.
Family members, and friends try to be supportive, sometimes they're wonderful and sometimes they just don't know what to say or do. Especially a young boy who's not done baking yet, as Judge Judy likes to say. He loves you, he's helping you and he's there for you, that says a lot about his character.
You and his Dad did a good job, and I know you're proud of him.
There are no certainties in life, and sometimes we get dealt a really tough blow, like cancer. It's so frightening in the beginning until we have an oncologist and treatment plan set up, and we start to take control of our lives, and health back.
Posting on these forums is so important, we know that we're not alone in this rotten battle. Stay with us, and I will too.
Good luck and good health,

Hi Beth,
I am staying with my mother and trying to help her out as best I can. I am struggling and I am 49 years old with a Ph.D. I can't imagine being 18, and a male having lost one parent already. I am guessing this is so hard and he's scared. Please remember, from his perspective that he loves you so much and probably feels so helpless. I am certain that he wants to take your fear away and make you all better and he can't. It's the worst feeling in the world. Also, the feelings are so bungled up between wanting to do the right thing and saying the right thing, I don't know that any of us can. We just love our mothers so much and it is soooo hard to watch them hurt. Anyway, I hope this helps. God Bless you and your son. Lisa0
