hey everybody,well finished treatments two weeks ago.went to onc yesterday to get blood checked.the only thing that was low was my platelets.so i have to wait a few weeks to get my port out.i asked her if this means im NED and she said YES oh happy day.just want to thank everyone on this board who helped me thru this.we are truly a semi colon family.thanks buz for holding that rope because you and i know someone else was also pulling on it to get me thru this.once again thank you everyone for your support.all you newbies i know i still have colonoscopys.scans and blood work to deal with but dont any of you give up.there is a light at the end of this cancer tunnel.....Godbless......johnnybegood........happy naked dance

    kim im sorry they put you off.think of it this way my platlets were low on my last treatment so they sent me to the hospital to get 2 units of platlets and i got my last treatment.do you actually think i was going to put off my last treatment this darn stuff was killing me anyway i just said lets get er done.good luck to you....Godbless.....johnnybegood

    Congrats!!!
    I could do the naked dance for you but I am smack dab in the middle of chemo.... Once upon a time all these people would have enjoyed that dance..... now I am fat, old and full of surgery scars its not that appealing anymore. Besides, I have found the most important part of life is surviving... YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THAT!!! Good luck in the future

    That is such wonderful news! My onc counts me NED at surgery but my final chemo is 2 weeks from today! I'm so excited.

    What great good news!

    I've read your posts and cheered for you and your family.

    I hope you and your family enjoy every second of the relief you must feel with a NED diagnosis.

    Everyone else seems to recommend dancing. Dancing is good, but I see things more in terms of food (this is a common reaction for me, by the way). I think you should have a rowdy all-you-can-eat celebration!
