I saw your post on the other thread and will reply in both places just in case, I found out this program is state wide in California, but if your some where else, then try calling any local general care clinic in your area and ask if they have anything like this in the state you're in, there has to be something out there to help.
So far I've received great care, and have even kept the Dr's that I was referred to by them. They used the top rated hopital for BC and other cancers in the area for imaging, prevention, and treatment. Which is Scipps/Mercy in San Diego.
So after my medi-cal insurance kicked in I decide to stay, with their doctors. I even looked them up on-line and they were no quacks. Anytime, I call with questions, my surgeon either answers the phone or calls me back personally, if she is in surgury or something.
I really hope you can find the same help, I've found, so here's the info.
Free medical sevices to those who qualify, for women it's called
Cancer Detection Program: Every Woman Counts..
... it's a State Funded Program in California....
It will pay for detection and treatments of BC and Ovarian Cancer

Marcia also posted some websites. I'm not sure on what thread though, bvut if you have time in the next few days, try to find them.
So glad you're finally posting.
when you're up to it let us know how it all went okay
