nipple tattooing/update

I have now been cancelled a FIFTH time by my plastic surgeon at the University of Chicago Medical Center to do the nipple tattooing (I was cancelled three times at one institution, and then went to the U of C, where I was cancelled two times). I made an appt. with a tattoo artist who will do it for free, but whose first opening is Sept. 28. I decided that whoever is able to do it first (medical center or tattoo artist) is the person I will go with, but this is really frustrating!

    Wow Ohilly, 5 times? That would be very frustrating. Has the tattoo artist done it before? Did he show you the results in pics? Just be careful and make sure he knows what he is doing. Cause it is permanent. Good luck to you!

    I am so sorry you were canceled AGAIN!! Just a thought...can you try to re-schedule at the first institution that canceled you three times. Maybe after all this time, by now, they will be able to get you in sooner? :) Pammy

    So sorry Ohilly! Unbelieveable. Hope you can get it done somewhere soon and that you are happy with it! You still sound like your antidepressants are working for you.

    I can't believe that Ohilly!
    I can't believe that Ohilly! Is there another plastic surgeon even at another hospital you can contact? I didn't realize it would be this hard to find someone to do that.

    Ohilly, that is terrible to have that many cancellations. Has anyone else had this happen that you know of? I wonder if the ACS could help you out. You might email them and ask

    Ohilly, I'm not sure why you have been put off so many times. I do know that there are not many tattoo artists that do nipples/aereola so they probably keep getting overbooked.
