My mom went in for her 4th round of chemotherapy at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance today.
She called me while I was at work and told me the news. She wanted me to know.
Her CA-125 went from around 600 to 288!!
Does this mean that the cancer is dying? I know that the CA-125 is a tumor marker, but I just want to ask to make sure.
It is truly amazing. I am happy. My mom is happy. She said she is defying all odds. She said that she knows deep inside that some people thought that this would be it for her. But it isn't. I truly believe that it is not my mom's time.
I'm off to bed now. I have to help my mom with her Social Security interview tomorrow morning.. (it's awfully late, almost 1 am!)
Oh, here is a photo that was taken last week Thursday

YES, Indeed
Yes, the reduction in CA-125 is a very good sign. Mine went from 2999 to 299 in four treatments and the doctors were all smiles! The photo did not post as I copied and pasted. Got an error message. Celebrate the chemo working. I had to take 9 doses of carbo/taxol to get to NED in addition to the surgery in between. Saundra0
