Nervous abot follow-up colonoscopy- Update

I have my post-op colonoscopy tomorrow. I was supposed to have it in early June, but the chemo was kicking my butt then, so it was postponed. I am NED, and my last scan was clear, but I am still nervous about this.

Colonoscopy report…they found 2 new polyps, but he thinks they are benign. I sure hope so. We will know more next week. He also biopsied my surgery site, just in case. Again, we’ll have that report next week. He also discovered the I had stenosis (meaning the rectal wall was closing in) and that is likely contributing to my diarrhea and pain. They dilated me, and I have to go back 2 more times, a month apart, for more dilation. It’s so much fun to be me…

    I'll be thinking about you today...I just know the results will continue to be clear.

    Funny thing is that feeling will never ever go away - once Cancer has "touched you", we are forever changed and scans always represent the possibilities of things again.

    Hi Vicki! I'm glad everything has been clear up to this point. I understand about being nervous for the colonoscopy, even though it's the prep that makes me more nervous than anything! I'll be thinking about you, and praying that everything is clean and clear!
