Okay - today is my anniversary and my hubby is bringing home wine. Has anyone had wine on off chemo weeks? I have not had any alcohol since my DX. My liver surgeon said after 3 months I could drink sparingly. 3 months was July 9.
Should I go for it and have that glass of red wine???

Very Happy Anniversary
Wishing you a very happy 7th anniversary. I think the chemo is harder on you than that glass of wine. I wouldn't drink the whole bottle (or would I - joking). Hope you have a wonderful evening with your husband, you both deserve it.

Wine and neuropathy
Hi there, dear! This is a fine line, at least for me! My cousin and her husband are wine coinneseurs (i know i spelled that wrong!), and so the expensive red stuff (pinot noir) seemed to be okay for me when i drank it at their wedding about three months into chemo. I had a terrible problem with neuropathy (and still am a year out from chemo), and i have to tell you, i had some cheap pinot noir at my aunts house about three weeks ago, and it sent my salivary glands into an neuropathic nightmare! I'm not kidding! I had to grab the sides of my face until it went away.
This doesn't mean it will happen to you! However, i would drink it very, VERY sparingly until it's in your system, and you know how you're body will react to it.
Happy anniversary!

Happy Anniversary!
Hi, Linda
I'm too late now, so you've already made your decision - I hope you went for it! We only live once you know?
I think that it is ok to do...you just have to pick your times...and I would have cashed my ticket in tonight too!
Hope you had a great evening and Happy Anniversary!
