My daughter is two, and she has been in remission from a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor for almost sixteen months. Now that I have time to step back from the world of active treatment, I wonder if any one else is going through this with their child. I know that the statistics of relapse are not certain in children her age. I thought that it might give me some idea of her future by talking to people that have been there before.

Wow, that is one of the best survivor stories I have heard! Only 2 years old! I do not know any younger people with GBM-I had a stage 3 astrocytoma removed 5/11/08--and I am 25 years old. I know from what my doctor said-stats are much better for young people.

I will keep you and your daughter in my thoughts and prayers,
    Christy
