Good news + No news

Well, the good news is that my previous Insurance Company called today and it looks like I won the appeals. They will be reprocessing and paying out the $14,000.00 they had denied during my treatment. What a relief!! I am also thankful that our new Insurance Company have been a pleasure to work with and have not denied anything. They actually have approved some claims that are not considered covered due to my situation.
The no news is that I did not hear about my BRCA Gene results today, so it looks like we will have to shoot for Monday. Keep your fingers crossed. I am anxious to know if it will be rads or mastectomy. WOW...I am a Warrior Of Waiting!!! Pammy

Waiting Warrior
Yes, you are a Warrior, Pammy! Excellent news that your insurance appeal was approved. I know myself what a worry it is to have a large insurance claim. I will be going through the appeals process very shortly.
Anyway, that $14,000 burden is off your mind. Great! I will keep my fingers crossed for no BRCA gene--and no chemo.0 -
The bills add up
It is just incredible how much money the BEAST eats, the hungry thing. I have one of those plastic portable file boxes and it is just full of last year's bills and insurance forms (EOB's). I have a new one for this year. Thank goodness, for insurance.
...and Ms. WOW, you talked about how much better you are at waiting than your husband in one of the chapters you wrote. BTW, ahem, Chapter 7?
Any which way, my fingers are crossed. I am sorry that you have this kind of wait. Lynn0 -

That is very good news with your insurance.
I wonder why i have never had the BRCA test is this because insurance does not pay for it? I would very much like to have this done..since I have a daughter.
Hope all is good with yours Pammy.
hugs, jackie
I was interested in having the BRCA test for my sisters' and niece's sake, but my insurance wouldn't pay because I'm the first in my family to have breast cancer. (God willing, the only one.) I asked both oncs. I see, and both said the test costs thousands. Neither suggested it for me. Probably those are the reasons your docs didn't have you take the test,either.0
