My mom went back into the
My mom went back into the hospital 10 days ago. She is still in there.
She was having pain and she had a UTI again. She was in pain after taking the pills for the UTI, so she was given morphine. I noticed that she wasn't in pain for a day, and the next day, she was given morphine again. Even with it, she still was in pain.
An X-Ray was done and a small partial bowel obstruction was found.
It was caught in time.
She had a tube down her throat for a few days to get the bile out. I noticed that both of her legs are swollen, and her left arm is. Adema?
She is back to eating now and is in high spirits.
She was given a blanket from this lady that was giving out bonnets and blankets to patients around the hospital. I went to visit her with my 2 friends from high school yesterday. She gave me the pink blanket - to give to the daugther that I have in the future. I started to cry, along with my friend. Now I have to find a nice box to store it in for when that time comes.
My mom had a blanket made for me a month before I was born. It was made from pretty scraps of material from a friend that sewed. I have outgrown it, but it is near me.
My mom will be getting out tomorrow or Sunday. She is in good spirits and happy that she is eating and walking around.0 -

It is good your mother is getting out of the hospital. The blanket story is touching and it makes me think of how little things are so important in the big scheme of the circle of life. We all are praying that the next few weeks go easier on you and your mom. ((((HUGS))) Saundra0 -

Hi Brittany,
We're so glad to hear from you, sorry Mom had a rough time for a few days.
I had the NG tube for bile when I was in the hospital for my OVCA surgery. I had been vomiting green bile like that girl in the Exorcist movie, except I don't think my head was spinning around.
Maybe that movie was before your time, but I'm sure the ladies here know about that movie.
I can relate to your feeling sad when Mom gave you the blanket to put away. I cried when my Mom gave me her house plants to take home, she had heart disease and it was coming to the end.
Thankfully your Mom is doing well and some day, she'll hold her grandchild wrapped in that blanket!
Give her our regards, and tell her we hope she continues to get better. She has to with such a dear child taking care of her.

Thank you
My mom is expected to get out tomorrow. But on Wednesday, she has her 4th chemo!! This entire process feels like its been going so quickly.
I just ordered a personalized Ovarian Cancer bracelet online for her, and one for me as well. I went to a concert with a friend yesterday and I took along the baby blanket my mom gave to me. It kept me warm when it got cold at night
I apologize for the long periods of time between updates. I have been trying to get together all of this Social Security stuff and its a bit complicated when some social workers dont even call back!!! Ugh!!0
