Awkward question...
I mentioned back in May I think that I had some knots on my "good/right" breast... just as a refresher...partial mastectomy on the left breast... okay now for the question...
I was wondering is the surgery to the left breast can cause changes in the "good" breast... kind of like... well when you are nursing a baby on one side, often it releases the milkducts in your other breast...
For the last three or four days, I have been experiencing a slight discharge from my "good" side... it's kind of yellowish in color.. but when I wipe it with tissue you can see a pink tint to it...
Has anyone experienced this before... and yes... I know ... I will talk with my onco about it, but I don't see him until the 28th... and I just wanted to see if someone had any information that could tide me over... I AM NOT CANCELING MY VACATION TO TALK TO MY DOCTOR.. NO HOW ... NO WAY... (wink)

Taleena, you should at the
Taleena, you should at the least call your oncologist. Seriously, you should before you go on vacation. Discharge can be a sign. I don't want to scare you, but, I am sure you know this as well. Please, at least, call him before you go and tell him! Please!
Hugs, Jeanne
p.s. you know why you should call him too? because if you don't, this will be on your mind the whole vacation. please, call him!0 -
I don't blame you....
for not wanting to cancel your vacation. What ever is going on will not matter to wait one week. I don't think a week will really make a difference. I had a yellow discharge years ago which turned out to be nothing, but I did not have the pink. Honestly, the pink worries me.....but I agree with Jeanne about calling your Onc. If anything, he will probably ease your mind about waiting till you get back to have checked. I'm pretty sure having surgery on one side will not effect the other. Will keep you in my prayers that it is nothing. Pammy0 -

I don't think and have never heard of surgery on one side affecting the other, so, I don't think that is it. And, a discharge could be something serious and it could not be. But, you really should call your oncologist before you leave and tell him. Just see what he says. And if necessary, maybe he could fit you in tomorrow before you leave. Good luck!

Taleena, you have to call your oncologist. Like Lynn said, you want LOTS of vacations!
Hugs, Noel
Definitely talk to your doctor before you go away...you don't want this on your mind. Maybe tests can be set up for when you return. Take it easy and keep us updated.0 -

Hey Taleena,
Well, everyone else has said what I would.
And deep down you know what you need to do.
Just do it, and then go on vacation. I know I'd worry and not enjoy my vacation if I was worrying -- knowledge is power, and personally I'd rather know than wonder.
I love you!

Taleena, I pray that you are at your doctor's office now or at least have called him. A discharge is not something to let go for a week.

Prayers to you - Pat
If you can get in to see your onc before you leave for vacation, that would be good. Then you won't spend your trip not knowing. I have a friend who just had the same thing happen to her. It turned out to me nothing to worry about. It was like cloged up pipe that had to clear. You should have this checked as soon as possible. Hugs & prayers0
