Conference Call Questions - Do you have some ready?
Not for sure if I will make the one this Friday. Kind of early in the morning for me. lol I will barely have my pepsi drank by then. And yes, I drink 2 pepsi's every morning.
Well, just wanted to stir everyone up to see if they have their thoughts, ideas and questions ready. We only have an hour for each of the 2 conference calls left and I want us to make the most out of it. I think it is a great thing that CSN is doing this for us! So, thank you CSN!

Questions
Hi, Jeanne, I am hoping to "attend" the Friday AM call, but not sure since I have rads.
Questions I have thought of are: can older threads be purged? When you do a Search, you get entries dating back to 2001. Cancer treatment has changed so much that much of that is obsolete and slows the search down. The feature is considerably less useful. I was thinking maybe having just the last five years or less. Also, have the Search engine display newest to oldest. That would help.
Next, not to open a can of worms, but is there a possibility of restoring G-I-F functions? Maybe we could sign an online agreement, and be booted off if an image is deemed offensive. Or do something so that we can type words with those letters in them!
Next, duplicate entries: can they be removed? Very frustrating and page-consuming. We all hate when that happens to one of our entries.
Finally, when something is removed, it would be nice to have an explanation. Under the OHIOGIRL thread, my and other posts were deleted. I finally figured out it was for privacy's sake: Marie's address had been posted. Still, it would have been thoughtful to explain.
Will let you know if I think of others. Joe said he will brainstorm, too.0 -

Maybe this isn't possible ... or maybe it isn't a big deal to anyone ... but I would LOVE it if the word "new" could be in RED (or something other than black or blue) so it would really stand out when searching through the threads for posts. They would stand out so much more.
Just a suggestion ...and it may not even be possible.
hugs.

Wonder what the Censor's other job is....I mean, is monitoring us a full-time job? (Well, maybe monitoring you is!:)0 -

I have no input...
but I'll try to be there to listen in what you all have to say. I've had other things on my mind lately. Ask some good questions and offer some good suggestions. I don't plan to be posting much, if at all, for awhile--too much head clearing to do.
TN trip coming up July 25th-Aug 6th and it's heavy on my heart...oh well, I've been through worse. Dr put me on xanox. I hope it works.
Stay strong my friends, I'll be thinking of you.
Hugs to you all,

I will try and be there for one of the two left. I haven't even thought much about questions or suggestions. I doubt that we will get the g i f s back. I think they were pretty upset with what happened. I think some of the really old threads should be put in some sort of archives just for review. Like just have them labeled 2003 BC and have them all there and not where someone can pull them up and throw them back in here currently. Cause they would be outdated. I don't know, I just need to think on this more. I can't think of anything else.0 -

I forgot all about it. I need to start thinking of some ideas. I doubt I make the next one, but, I will try to make the one on the 29th. Thanks for the reminder of them.

You posted my exact concerns and suggestions!! Although, rather than just one of us bringing up these ideas, I think they would consider it more if they were hearing the same suggestions over & over from all of us. So lets all keep sugesting the things that we all want. For those of us that will be on this friday and those calling in on the 29th (that is the one I will be at). Pammy0 -
It may be the 29th one, but, who knows LOLMoopy23 said:Questions

I may be attending the one on the 29th. Not for sure yet. I really like the duplicate entries removal Moopy. That is a good one! Like I said, I can only think of one and I may not bring it up. My mind just isn't working or something. Ok, no comments thank you very much! LOL
And, it would be nice to know what is brought up on the one this Friday, so that, the ones attending the 29th one will be able to add to it or elaborate on the subject.
Thanks again CSN for doing this!

This is an invitation to join one or more of the following conference calls to chat informally about the breast cancer discussion board. Each of you is a valued member of the community and I'm very interested in your thoughts and/or ideas about needs of the bc members and what you see as important issues that should be addressed going forward as the community continues to grow. I have no agenda for the call. I view it as an opportunity for us to get better acquainted and just brainstorm.
Today, July 9, 3:00-4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time
Friday, July 17, 9:00-10:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time
Wednesday, July 29, 12:00-1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time
If you are able to participate in any of these calls, please dial in tollfree at 1.866.502.8312 and enter the password 306390# at the prompt. I apologize for the short notice for today's call but hope you are able to participate in one of the other calls this month.
I'm certain to have missed many other active and invested members of the bc board so please let me know who else I need to invite to participate in future calls.
Warmly,

Your note from Greta was the first I heard of the conference call "invitation." I've read posts asking for input and questions to be brought up in the calls ... and I wondered who was involved or who got the "invitations."
thanks for the info.
hugs.

Teena, you should have gotten one in your email. You are on the list that she sent out. Greta sent it to whatever email you signed up on this site with. Do you still use that email?
