surgery on for tomorrow am, July 15th

old colostomy site, hernia repair

went to Rochester this morning- 2 hours to get there, 2 hours to get home.
For all of a 10 min appointment.
Have to do the golite prep tonight, funny how for some reason I thought I was going to get to avoid that this time....
won't find out the time of surgery till after 8 tonight, but she wants me as #1, which means I will need to leave home about 3am.
And the first time I just didn't check into a hotel room in Rochester and stay put, OH WELL

She thought 3-4 days in- a lot depends on how much the colon is manipulated and if I then have to do the liquid diet routine.

    Hate to hear about your upcoming surgery.

    Sounds like a full day...at least you're up first, so they can take the time they needs and will be sharp the first thing in the am.

    Good luck coming your way for your surgery......Take a deep breath and try not to make yourself crazy...I know its easier said than done but try hard...Have a nice hot cup of something relaxing and try and get a good night sleep seeing you have an early trip....Prayers are with you.....JULIE

    Hey Julie,
    Is your hernia giving you much pain? I don't have one at the same place you do but it hurts like he**. Mine is to the left of my naval.... post colon surgery thing. Inoperable at the present time due to chemo schedule. I am just glad you can at least get yours fixed. I will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.
