Hi, I know I am not Sherry
Hi, I know I am not Sherry but just wanted to say I am glad you are feeling better. I had some Ativan for a procedure I was nervous about and was told to take that if I couldn't sleep. Sometimes if they give you steroids to take with the chemo it can keep you up. Hope you get some sleep.

Kat11...
Make sure you inform your med onc/chemo nurses about the severity of your side effects. They need to know, in order to help better manage/provide relief, if possible.
Best wishes to you.
Kind regards, Susan0 -
As each day passes....
you will keep feeling better & better. Still it doesn't help having that knowlege when your feeling the way you do at the moment. Kat, I hope they are able to correct you sleep problem. There are a multitude of things out there that will help you with that.
Hey Sherry, hope your hanging in there as well!! Pammy0 -

Kat maybe you should ask for something (ativan?) to sleep. Your body really needs rest now. I hope you are feeling much better.

They gave me Temazepam for sleep. I do get some sleep, but I am having lots of problems with being hot and then cold. Hot worse than cold. Wakes me up all the time. My husband is ready to move out of the bedroom. We have the air on and a fan is going. This is driving me crazy. Durning the day I have a cold wash cloth on my neck and that seems to help. So does this start all over again on the nexted treatment date in a week in a half.0 -

Hope you both are doing great. Sherry, check in when you can.
Kat, are you having hot flashes? I've been getting the hot/cold thing at night for months now. I must take off/put on my pjs at least seven times a night. It gets frustrating and definitely disruptive for the person sharing your bed. I've heard Effexor helps with hot flases. I didn't like the side effects, but some swear at by it. Hope you feel better and get some rest.

Wishing both Kat and Sherry well.
I did move out of the bedroom during chemo Kat..not because he wanted me to..but I just felt that I could deal with things better.
I'm not sure anyone can answer whether it will all happen again Kat...but I did find I had quite a few days at the end where the side effects were lessened. I really hope things get better....but I think it's probably like childbirth...you will have forgotten all about it in a few years.0 -

Mimi, Pretty sure that its hot Flashes, but it lasts for for about 10 or more minutes. I am taking Effexor for years now. This is really nasty. Just started after 1st chemo treatment.0 -
Sherry & Kat........
Sherry, hoping to hear from you very soon!
Kat, they time the chemo so that you have two weeks to recover and start feeling better before the next round. I'm so sorry that you are having a hard time.
Hot flashes...I had ovaries removed at age 46. I took Premarin until last year, when my bc was dx'd. Then they had me stop the Premarin immediately, instead of weaning me off slowly.
I am therefore, slammed by hot flashes constantly. They are absolutely no fun!!
I also sleep separately, for my sake and for hubby's. I have A/C on and also a fan at night.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot flashes!!! They stink!!

Thanks all, glad to hear its normal. I told hubby he could wear one of the sleep hats on his bald head and maybe he would not be as cold. I don't think he bought that LoL.0 -

Glad to hear that you are better. I am feeling much better today. Thank god! I slept all day thurs and Fri, trying to eat and take the meds LOL. Wanted to puke everytime I did Saturday was better, only slept 6 hours. Sunday I was up all day and finally starting eating a little bit. I was able to work today and eat. Make sure and ask the nurse for some meds Kat, don't suffer. I am going to make sure that I ask for it again next time. Hope this finds you doing good.

Good to hear from you. And glad you're feeling a bit better. Yes, make sure you discuss the nausea with your onc team. Not eating is not good. Take good care of yourself.0 -
