Went there for Lung mets surgery
Hi Oceansaway,
Yes I went to H. Lee Moffit for lung mets in 2007. The first was VATS for 1 small met. That surgery I was only in 1 day. The care at the hospital was excellent. Recovered in 2 days, barely able to tell I had anything done. The 2nd one done 4 months later, was another story. It was 2 tumors and I had to have the bottom of the lobe removed. I only stayed 2 days because they didn't have any rooms available and in recovery they don't have bathrooms in each room so they made me use the lobby restroom. I got out as soon as possible. I'm not one to stay any longer than I absolutely have to. Overall it is a very good place to go for treatment. All their rooms (if one is available) are private. Good Luck!!

Moffitt
Went for consult. Doctors were nice. Did not have to stay because they were not able to perform type of surgery for my husband. We went to MD Anderson in Houston which was really great. However we are going back to Moffitt for a clinical trial but it does not require any stay at the hospital. If you are looking for quality service I recommend MD Anderson rooms are private.
