I am a little confused I think. Yesterday I had my first chemo treatment. When she was setting up the IV I asked what was that she was giving me. When she told me I was getting Doxorubicin ( adriamycin )and the next day I had to come back for a shot Cyclophosphamide ( cytoxan also called Neosar) said I had never heard of this drug. I told her I thought I was having taxol or another one called taxodere not sure of the spelling. So after a short delay, while she called the doctor I was told I was having this for 4 rounds then I think she said taxol and herciptin for 4 round with hercepitin for remaining 52 weeks. I have not heard of this drug. Anyone have any info on it. I was really tired yesterday, but I had a long day at the Center. I feel a little tired today, but doable.

    Isn't Herceptin for

    Hey Kat
Isn't Herceptin for HER2 positive folks? I'm ER/PR positive so I dont have to take Herceptin but there have been some really good posts about it. Go back a few pages and read the posts or just type it in the search and the posts will come up.Anyway I'm sure those who are taking it will answer you soon with better info.

    Herceptin is for HER2 positive.

    Herceptin
I had 4 rounds of A/C(once every 2 weeks) and then 12 rounds of Taxol with Herceptin(2 left)(once a week for 12 weeks) and I was told I would be on Herceptin once every 3 weeks for one year.

Herceptin in for HER2 positive--like others have said.

Check out your path report to see what it says.

    Kat.....
I had 4 rounds adriamycin and cytoxan.(A/C) Then had 4 abraxane (relative of taxol) and herceptin. I had shot of Neulasta after each chemo, to build white cells. Then herceptin every 3 weeks for a year.

Guess I'm not quite sure what drug you're talking about-Cyclo or herceptin? Cyclo is another chemo drug normally (to my knowledge)used with Adriamycin. It's considered standard chemo treatment. I had 4 rounds of that-1 every two weeks.
herceptin the ladies have already explained.

    I had ACT, Adriamycin,
I had ACT, Adriamycin, Cytoxan and Taxol. These aer pretty common for breast cancer. They are no picnic but very effective from what I know. I did not have herceptin. That is for her2 positive cancer.
