Abdominal pain ten weeks after surgery

Hello everyone! This question is about my boyfriend, David. He had gallbladder removal surgery over two months ago (we were in two different hospitals at the same time for surgery), and he is still having a lot of pain at the site of the drainage tube. His surgeon seems unconcerned, but David is worried something else might be wrong. Someone suggested to us that it may be trapped gas. Is this normal almost ten weeks after surgery, and could it be trapped gas? Any suggestions would help!

Hugs,
Krista
