Those sneaky Chinese

The Chinese have developed an artificial liver machine that is pretty effective. Depending on the amount of liver failure you may have to stay on it 6-8 hr a day. This is pretty good news. 90% of colon cancer deaths are because of liver failure. Half of those die from liver failure brought on by some type of infection damaging an already diminished liver function. Thereby inducing death earlier than would be expected from normal decline. These chinese have done tests on failing livers and found that occasional treatment greatly reduces the rate of liver failure. There is an american company that isn't quite as far along as the chinese. Who knows, maybe liver dialysis is just a few years off.
