I think most people go on it for one year, getting it every three weeks. I read somewhere that sometimes people have to get put back on it though. That's all I know, sorry
Kim
Like Kim said ... I think most people are on it for a year. I had taxol and herceptin every week for 12 weeks ... then the taxol stopped but I continue with the herceptin every 3 weeks for a year. Actually ... it's not a year after I stopped the taxol .. it's a year from the date I started taxol and herceptin.
hugs.

I have talk to a lady that has I B C for the past 8 years she goes every 2 weeks and has herceptin why because she has a hot spot.
I am on Taxol w/Herceptin once a week for 12 weeks and then I will be on Herceptin alone starting in August for one year. So the total time I am having Herceptin is 15 months.
Everyones treatment is different depending on their oncologist.
